Gay & Lesbian travel in Florianopolis
Florianopolis, or Floripa, as the locals call it, is now the third destination in Brazil for gay & lesbian travelers, especially during summer. Although nightlife is concentrated in the clubs and bars downtown, Praia Mole, in the East Coast, is for most THE place to be to enjoy gay Floripa. In summer the left-side of the beach by Bar do Deca is the gayest stretch of sand south of Ipanema! At other times of the year, you might find it quiet, but if you are looking for relaxation by the beach and like to have good facilities nearby, this is the place for you.
Day 1: Arrival at Florianopolis airport. Transfer to your accommodation.
Days 2 and 3: Days free to enjoy the beach or optional activities.
Floripa is a great centre for all outdoor sports and has some good options of day trips, see below for suggestions
• Kayak expedition in the Upper Cubatão River
• Day treks around the Island
• A full-day trip visiting charming old Azorean villages and the East Coast
Day 4: Transfer back to the airport for your onward flight.
